DANIEL KALEMBA is from western Uganda. His parents died of HIV/AIDS leaving him in the care of his grandmother. She was an alcoholic and could not give him proper care and neglected him. This was a really dangerous situation for young Daniel, and the local authorities started looking for some help from different churches and organizations. Martin’s church was contacted and they forwarded them to C4C. Daniel was warmly welcomed into the C4C community. He now has many adopted brothers and sisters at the orphanage. He really feels at home and gladly does his share of the household chores.

He has a strong spirit of leadership, and is a very popular boy, helping to look after the younger children. He likes reading and writing, his grades are also good.
