Both of Saul’s parents have passed away. His mother died after giving birth to him and in 2012 his father died leaving Saul with his uncle. The uncle was not physically or financially able to take care of him, and he was brought to a ministry in town and left there. That ministry had to close down in 2014 due to lack of funding, and the director contacted Martin to take the boy in so he wouldn’t have to go back to the bad conditions in the village with his uncle. C4C’s home agreed to accept Saul. He knows how to write the alphabets and counts up to 20. He’s a humble, quiet boy and is making progress in class.
